The programme for junior research group leaders

Target group are participants who are looking for personal development and navigational help in their everyday leadership. A leadership compass supports you in understanding your personal leadership profile. The face-to-face program offers the opportunity for personal reflection and to try out and discuss various leadership tools and models. During two digital stoppovers, knowledge will be deepened and applied in collegial case consultation.
Last but not least, the program offers an excellent opportunity to network and talk to experienced managers and role models from the Leibniz Association during our fireside chats.

Details about the programme can be found in the fact sheet. We usually send out the call for applications to institute directors 4–6 months before the programme start date.

Once the application window closes, the programme advisory board of the Leibniz Leadership Academy will select the participants in line with the following criteria:

  • Leibniz Competition funding
  • Target group fit, especially in terms of leadership experience, as described above
  • Only one person per institute
  • Balanced participation from all five Sections
  • Equal number of female and male participants
