New to Leibniz

This event is aimed at the top managers (directors, acting heads of institutes and administrative heads) and the second management level (such as heads of departments or divisions) who have joined the Leibniz Association in the years 2023 to 2025 or are new to their role.
The aim is to exchange ideas and network with colleagues, to engage in dialogue on issues relating to the ‘Leibniz world’, and in particular on the topics of governance, transfer and evaluation.

  • Format: Two-day event.
  • Target group: Directors, acting heads of institutes and administrative heads as well as heads of departments or divisions.
  • Language: German, discussions and questions in English are welcome.
  • Locations: WZB – Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung, Reichpietschufer 50, 10785 Berlin.
    We will provide booking links for DB Event train tickets (can be combined with BahnCard discounts, trains use 100% renewable power) by email.
  • Dates: 14 and 15 October, 2026 (noon to noon).
